About Us

Rurtec began working in the animal husbandry field in 2001.  We have been enhancing the functionality and benefits from using our expanding product range ever since. Our product development is done in New Zealand and in conjunction with a number of collaborators around the world.  Many of our products are made in our factory right here in Hamilton, NZ.  We also work alongside some leading international providers to facilitate the availability of their iconic world brands including JAKOTI, PRIMATECH, MASTERLINE and STERIMATIC.

From humble beginnings, Rurtec has grown a reputation as a consistent and reliable supplier of top end products to the animal industry.  We are still very much a niche "lean and mean" company that values the relationships developed with our customers and end users of our products.

Traditionally in NZ Rurtec products have only been available through veterinary and rural retailers and we are grateful for the great support from vets and stores.  With pressure on store inventory levels though, there have been frustrations in the availability of some products to farmers when they need them.  Our new website will better support our veterinary and rural outlets with product and technical information and online ordering.  It also improves the availability of our entire range to our farmer and other end user customers when they need product with simple easy to use ordering available 24/7.
